Introduction

Local Group Novi Sad (Serbia) invite 30 students from all Europe to their Vision event from 17th to 21th of March. Vision Novi Sad 2010 is part of the seminar series on the theme of Efficiency in Communication.

Taking part to this event means that you will learn more on the wireless technology through lectures and company visits. Cultural activities and parties are the other part of that event.

Novi Sad

Novi Sad is a lovely city in the North of Serbia. A living city of 300.000 inhabitants close to Belgrade (Serbia), Budapest (Hungary) and Zagreb (Croatia).

Novi Sad can be compared to Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium because 20% of its inhabitants are university students. But it is much more than that. Novi Sad is also and important economic and cultural center of Serbia with a rich history. Novi Sad is actually the perfect city to discover the Orthodox culture as with all the facilities that students like.

Parties in crazy clubs are planned everynight. There are as many clubs as churches or historical monuments.

The Vision event

ESTIEM organise 12 Vision events every year with this year the theme efficiency in communication. Students at the Technology Faculty of Novi Sad University have planned interesting lectures done by expert teachers on the theme of wireless technology. Some cultural and sport activities are also planned like a sport competition and a vineyard visit followed by a wine degustation.

Practical details

Out of the 30 participants, 4 students from Solvay can be selected to take part to that unique experience.
It cost 40 euros and include accomodations in a nice student dorm, meals, activities and transportation during the event itself.
Novi Sad can be reached via Budapest or Belgrade. An opportunity to visit one more city or event two others cities.
As ESTIEM is established in Budapest and Belgrade, you can plan a trip Budapest-Novi Sad-Belgrade and be hosted by ESTIEMer in the two other cities.
